A new day!

We are having a great today. Alexis got a good's night sleep last night. She ate a few bites of fruit loops and banana this morning. She is not really drinking much and that is a problem. Her IV fluids have been shut off for now. We are encouraging her to drink on her own. We saw the doctor this morning. She was happy with her improvement. Concerned that her bowels are going into shock since they have been so irritated. We will keep a close eye on her. If everything goes well today and we can get her to eat and drink we will go home later this evening. We are optimistic we have seen the worst of it. We do not know exactly what she had. Her samples have come back free of bacteria. Others are pending. Her urinalysis came back ok. She got to take a bath and walk in the hall. She looks, smells, and feels so much better! Thank you everyone for the prayers, well wishes, balloons, stuffed animals, flowers, and craft supplies!!!! Thanks for those who have visited! We are truly blessed to have so many wonderful, caring people in our lives!
