The Winds of Change

>> Thursday, November 5, 2009

The winds of change are blowing around here. Some of these winds are Gale Force Winds, I think. They are the kind of winds that cause you to stuff your skirt between your knees and lock you legs so tight together that it would take a crow bar to pull them apart. Because you are at the cemetery for a funeral and, you being the moron you are, wore a skirt on the windiest day of the year. The entire time during the service you are grasping the sides of your thighs in a valiant attempt to keep your skirt from blowing up over your head and exposing your undies to the poor souls behind you. You feel guilty that you are not listening to the minister, but you are praying that soon you can return to your car and let go of your thighs, but then you are panic struck, because you will have to unlock your legs and walk! How are you going to keep your skirt down in these winds?*

So, where were we?

These winds are bringing change. Maybe good change? Maybe bad change? Whatever the change is we will face it head on, and we will not be wearing skirts!

We had a busy day yesterday. The day went well. We continue to recover today. We are discussing results, making plans, and enjoying having Todd home with us today!

Today is a good day!

* I am not claiming that this has or has not happened to me. That the above story may or may not be an actual account of a very poor decision made on my part. I will deny, deny, deny!
