Not Me Monday

I most certainly did not send our son to school a couple of weeks ago in dingy athletic pants and sweatshirt when it was picture day. I would never forget something like picture day! I did not get a call from my mother (who is a teacher at the school Brent goes too) because our son was crying because he did not have nice clothes on. So I did not throw clothes on, gather his new wardrobe and hair supplies, pack up my daughter and niece, and walk in the office with my head hung down due to my overwhelming embarrassment.

Last year I did not have a child who only referred to her poop as shit. She did not learn this from a wonderful family member that asked her once if she had shit her pants. She never forgot. For several, and I mean several, months she would not announce her bowel movements by shouting "I SHIT!" or demand someone to change her "SHIT!" It did not take us forever to break this habit!

I did not let our daughter stay in our bed last night after I swore next time she got up she was going straight back to her bed. I was not thinking about how comfortable I was and how I did not want to get up to take her back to her room. I always stick to my guns! Tonight is a new night!
