It's Time For A Celebration

We celebrate everything in our house. We celebrate it no matter how big or small. We celebrate Alexis sleeping the entire night in her bed, Brent loosing a tooth, Alexis being potty trained, Brent excelling at school, and today we have a new reason to celebrate. Alexis actually ate something beside peanut butter and jelly or pancakes. She ate meat. She actually ate meat. No, I am serious! She has not eaten any form of meat for about 2 years! I do not know what happened. She ate everything in site until she was about a year and a half, then one day it was like a switch flipped and she stopped eating almost everything. Meal times have been a fight for the last year especially. Everyone says when she gets hungry enough she will eat. Well, they have not meet Alexis. This has not been the case. Let me clarify she would eat a little bit at each meal. She would eat breakfast no problem and she would pick a few bites off her plate here and there, but overall meals were and are a struggle at our house. So today we celebrate. We celebrate the fact Alexis ate four bites of biscuits and gravy last night and a chicken nugget today! I am thrilled. We are thrilled. Because tomorrow I am sure we will be back to eating pancakes and peanut butter and jelly. Oh well, at least for today we had some variety!
