All I Want For Christmas...

Oh the minds of kids. Brent has a loose front tooth. I do not deal with loose teeth. The wiggling, the moving, and everything that goes with loose teeth. I can do blood, exposed beating hearts, and lots of other gross things that I will not mention, but I do not do teeth! Loose, dangling teeth were not covered in my nurse's training. Well, maybe they did but I closed my eyes and hid under my desk. Anyway, Ben my oldest nephew joined us today after school. He was willing to lend a hand. Next thing I knew the dental floss was out, a tooth was being tied to one end, and the other was being secured to the door handle. Then slam scream, slam scream, and on the forth or fifth attempt we had a result. The tooth was out. Ben was slapping himself on the back for a job well done, Brent had toilet paper hanging out of his mouth, and I was cowering in the corner. So, tonight we await the tooth fairy. Her immanent arrival is pending. I have a great story about the last tooth fairy visit, but it involved my husband and muscle relaxants (they are prescription I swear, not the illegal get em on the street corner kind) and he would never forgive me if I shared. Have a great night!
