The Myers' Family

We continue to pray and wait. The blood draw at midnight was HORRIBLE! It took 3 sticks to get blood. Finally they got it out of her foot. She has slept off and on. Todd has slept with her. I have rested, but not really slept. The set of labs from midnight showed improvement. It showed her blood sugar, bicarbonate, and kidney function are improving. We pray that the blood work that was just done will be even better. We want to take our little girl home later today. I want to hold her, not restrain her. I want her to sleep in her bed. I want her to see her bubby. I want her better. We have had illness before. Chicken pox at 12 weeks, roto virus, stomach flu, pneumonia, and various minor illness. This has been the worst. My heart breaks for parents of chronically ill children. I do not know how you do it. Our baby does not have a life threatening condition, yet I am a mess! To all of you who have ill children you are my heros. I do not know how you do it day in and day out. May God hold all of you close. Thanks to all that have helped and prayed for us over the last couple of days. We would not have made it without you. I will update as soon as the doctor gets here.
