Multiple Milestones Monday

Yesterday was a big day around here. First, my nephew Sam started preschool at our local elementary school. Of course his crazy aunt who was picking him up was armed with a camera or two. I know! Maybe a little overkill.

Secondly, Alexis got her big girl room. This is the first time a crib has not been in our house for 7 years! Yes I cried. I am sure this shocks some.  I am not so emotionally stable right now! :) When we built Alexis' room a few years ago it never really turned out. It never looked done. It was a collection of mismatched furniture and accessories. Since Alexis is now a big girl who is potty trained and going to school, we decided it was time to give her a fitting room. This past weekend we hustled and bustled. Grandma made a trip to Indy to pick up what we needed and walls were painted. My husband refers to her room as looking like Shrek. Oh well. Alexis and I love it!

I think it is adorable. Maybe I am partial because I have spent the last 5 days straight in there.

I also put up Brent's palm tree. The one I bought 2 years ago and kept still had not applied. Well it is up now baby. It is never coming off. When it does dry wall will be attached!
